Croydon Meet Up

Hi Guys,
Just a thought, personally I think it would be a good plan for us all to meet up in the same place before the Croydon gig. With Camden, there are two pubs that the 'family' prefer, so it's split and we don't actually get together until the gig itself, and then the venues are generally so vast we seem to miss the forum members and facebook friends we would like to meet.

So, I am proposing that someone who knows Croydon quite well, suggests ONE meet up where we can all get together (preferably not miles away from the venue - obviously!)

Hope to hear an update soon...

Apparently the venue have a strict drinks policy, you can't take anything into the theatre at all, so drink up before you leave the bar!!

Just looked it up on Bing maps, it's a half hour walk from the venue

George Street, Croydon. About 100 yards from the venue on the other side of the main road. THE GEORGE. Camra. Nice beer. Pub grub. Closest pub to the venue. There's also some takeaways and restaurants including a great all-you-can-eat Chinese in George Street. Oh, and cash points.

Or walk past The George down to the High Street and turn left. Another 100 yards. THE SHIP. Where the local rockers and Goths usually go. Nice beer. Pub grub (Inc. Vegetarian menu).

Directly opposite The Ship. THE GREEN DRAGON. Good beer. Cider on tap. Pub grub. Pool tables. Beer garden.

If you walk past THE GEORGE down to the junction with High Street but go straight ahead you'll find THE DOG AND BULL on the left. Another good one with a beer garden.
