And they stuck on loads of Stranglers toons for us. Hopefully that bloke in the shiny suit with the black beard and mane of golden hair will be there again- a kind of parallel universe Ravenlunatic who's been let loose in Burtons with a can of Regaine and a bottle of Timotei.

Let me check it's still open tho'.... never know with pubs these days

sounds good Kath, should get there about 6 ish (depends on train up from Villa Park)
Just in time to drown your sorrows, eh?

This Crown?

Anything touristy worth seeing whilst in the 2nd city, apart from the inside of pubs(3rd day and kidneys will have taken a battering by then?)
"They don’t come much better than The Stranglers when performing live; there is no pretence, no hiding place, just superb music"

That's what I thought

Cambridge has the Cam and the Universities, Brighton has the Seafront and the Royal Pavillion.
Probably take a stroll down to see the canals.

The Crowns just round the corner from the Hotel, result :smt004

I always park up Great Colmore Street up past the Etap hotel when I go into Brum centre by car for anything. Residential up there. Free. Usually a space somewhere. 3 mins walk to the venue. Car never been broken into. Just don't leave any diamonds on display and you should be OK.
