I think theres a few kraftwerk fans on here, id class myself as a fan.

just wonder what people think is kraftwerk's best L.P

for me its a toss up between radioactivity, and man machine, or maybe the mix, christ every album of theres is excellent, (except maybe electric cafe!)

their album artwork is always top notch too, great images.
Cnut ? I think you're mistaken, it's CUNT.

Tough call.

I'd go with Man Machine if a choice be needed.

I have to say though that the albums sound much better in German than English.... in the German version of the Model there is even a little champagne related joke (although being German it's not side-splitting! )

The track Radioactivity is one of the strongest... remember when it came out sitting on a hill overlooking Sellafield with the volume turned right up... emotive stuff.

The Mix is good, but anyone wishing to dip there toes into the KW pond for the first time could do a lot worse than Minimum Maximum (one of the most stunning gigs I have ever attended by the way).

I've got all their albums on vinyl, but the only ones I've re-bought on CD
are Man Machine (German version), The Mix and Min/Max. Been kinda
let down by the shoddy CD versions- well, it's just the basic albums innit?
They've got a major re-issue package due out soon though haven't they?
Although "due out soon" translates to something completely different
when you're talking about the 'Werk. :?

I think I prefer the version on Radioactivity from The Mix.

Radioactivity, The Mix and Minimum Maximum are current favourites.

One band I would love to see abroad. For some reason.

I heard Sheks Object from Electric Cafe recently and was surprised
by how good it sounded.

 I remember thinking WTF?!? when I first heard that, being
so used to the English version. It's a waiter from their local bar,
or something, isn't it?

Yeah, it was mentioned in Wolfgang Flur's book.... apparently whitty banter with a waiter in their favoured restaurant in Dusseldorf.

i love the mix version of pocket calculator like, kraftwerk are the masters of making grooves, they are quite cheesy riffs and grooves but its compulsive.
