Live at Abbey Road

Post by droopsnoot »

Quite apart from it being a travesty that the Stranglers haven't been on this show yet, I did catch last weeks (last of the series) with a cracking couple of songs from Iron Maiden. I know they're HM and all that, but they can certainly play. I particularly liked "Hallowed be thy name" in all its glory.

Mmmmm.
Seriously for a minute and on the subject of live tracks, have you seen the latest news from the Rats Lair:

"Unspecified live tracks to be played on the George Lamb show, BBC 6Music Wednesday Night/Thursday Morning (11th/12th April) between 0020 and 0050 am."

Wonder, what we'll get? Old stuff, new stuff or couldn't give a stufff?
This can't be undone

An ideal job for my new toy - a freeview hard disk recorder. I shall set it to record.

Do you ever feel that, being a Stranglers 'enthusiast', you may quite possibly be beating your heed against a brick wall? I know I do! 8)

Possibly like you droop, I was hoping for a trailer saying, "Next week, the most underated band in British music history.......The Stranglers..play Abbey Road and make better use of it than those Scouse cnuts ever did!"

You get my point?

Yes, especially now there are so many shows - Later, Transmission, Abbey Road, all these freeview channels have their own.
