I'm a fan so perhaps my views are biased. I saw them at Leeds in 2003 and thought that they were great. Not as good as they usually are (they were amazing at Hippybury) and a bit more wrecked. They did a great version of Movin On Up at Hippybury before being escorted from the stage.

I don't get Coldplay, their music is so old. I think that 20 year olds should have a laugh and turn up the noise a bit. Maybe I'm the problem but Chris Martin is a cock and seems like a nasty humourless piece of work. They were on Woss's show the other week and after 'witty' banter with Woss the camera caught Martin giving a roadie/band member (who knows?) a bollocking.

Just my opinion on Oldplay.

Coldplay are fuckin dire make no mistake - Can`t believe that lead singer is nobbing that whatsherface. What does she see in him? Tortured indie boy - yeah whatever. Every time they release a new album they should attach it to the front of the Daily Mail and just have done with it.

Too right Jim. It's music for people who don't like music. People who don't buy records and want to 'be with it', something to discuss over a latte "Have you heard the new Coldplay CD?" Gits.

Had a similar experience, a PE teacher was moaning that she hadn't been able to get Oldplay tickets, I told her to come round my house as we were painting and she could watch it dry. One less for the leaving do next month.

Better to get things out in the open though than pretending to like them!

Quite agree with you two guys about Oldplay. One must admit there is talent there but it's being channeled into a music form which bores me ridged. All that contemplative meloncholy shit makes me wanna slit my wrists, plus they ain't fast enough.

Music is supposed to wash away the dreary reality of everyday life and make people get up on their feet and turn around, send us out on Monday morning ready to face whatever is gonna come our way.

Sad and teary music which embraces the fact our planet is slowly slipping down the toilet in a sea of despondancy and lacks that vital life force and energy which bands such as .....err...... now let me so, ah yes- The Stranglers possess, simply make me wanna boke blood.

Only one new band that makes me wanna bop these days and that's The Zutons and that's mainly down to the fact the sax player gives me the horn (geddit?).
If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Coldplay are unbelievably naff. Primal Scream were ace this year, Bobby Gillespie was on form. 'Field full of fucking hippies!'
I wanted to see Kylie play, mind! Basement Jaxx, pfft.
