Madness LP Absolutely is great, it contains Disappear, one of my faves by them. 7 is full of good tunes too.

Right now it's the TV Smith's Explorers 'Anthology'. Everything they recorded including the 'The Last Words Of The Great Explorer' album, 'Tomahawk Cruise' and other singles, 'b' sides, demos, radio sessions, outtakes and a live track.

Excellent stuff and a fine remastered collection.

Tonight I'm off to Southend to see the man in person.

Always great live whether it is solo or with a band doing the "best of the Adverts".

I code to Sleigh Bells - it gives you the energy you need

Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror (based upon Jim's recommendation): A wall of sound indeed! Nice when reverberating around the car, but not something I'd listen to with headphones or on the PC whilst trying to concentrate on something else!

Some of the drums on that are insane!

Getting bored of it now though. Need to find something else, which reminds me..........

Its taken me this long to realise what a good album 'This Is PIL' is! Still listening to it now.

Turn the bass up - very nice - On "Crush" for example they got all their mates to stamp their feet in a basketball hall.

This Is PiL - I bought this, played it 5 times and shelved it - It's hard to pick out more than 3 decent tracks IMO.

Tears For Fears - The Hurting

and my internal dialogue reminding me that the class I'm planning this lesson for don't care about chemistry as much as I do...

Good choice! 8) I really rate their first three albums, and the reunion album ('Everybody Loves A Happy Ending') wasn't too bad either (although very Beatley/late XTC-like kind of stuff, and nothing really like Hurting/Big Chair).
