When I was a punk, I hated Zep despite never having heard a note of them!zontar wrote:CELEBRATION DAY is a brave choice, Mr Five Minutes. As an old fug, I once mostly loathed that band for commercial dominance, plus media overkill. Wot a foolish, elitist notion. I now understand much of their output has merit - but still prefer Strangs.

I tried that based upon your recommendation. Unfortunately, I found it bland and dull.theraven1970 wrote:The Raveonettes new album, Observator, very impressed by it too.

Depends if you like Bland and Dull or not I suppose?

I don't mind Madness' singles, but I honestly struggle to get through a whole album of theirs. I don't really get the impression that they were much of an "album" band!

Madness new album - Not bad. Nothing ground breaking just solid 80s Madness in 2012
Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror (based upon Jim's recommendation): A wall of sound indeed! Nice when reverberating around the car, but not something I'd listen to with headphones or on the PC whilst trying to concentrate on something else!
