6 years into the new millenium...

has there been a new release that beats 'Grave Disorder' (The Damned) this century, so far?

Well :?:

The Arctic Monkeys new album is worth a listen.

You've got a point there. Grave Disorder is one hell of an album. Up there with that I'd put NC & BEF (of course), Killing Joke's latest & Manic's Lifeblood.

Lifeblood is the only one that comes anywhere near - Can`t think of anything else.

A very interesting snippet on www.killingjoke.com

Then go to the "Music and Videos" section and listen to "The Death and Resurrection Show". Very good drumming from Mr. David Grohl.

Apparently recorded for £300 in lead singer's bedroom. Good album - Stars of CCTV by Hard-Fi. Get it. :o

I played Grave Disorder the other day. Excellent sound and cracking tunes. Makes you glad to be a pop kid. and there are people out there who think life is just drudgery and pain. don't forget to play it at your sister. bliss!

Apart from NC, the only albums that come close to Grave Disorder for me in the last few years are Buzzcocks imaginatively titled "Buzzcocks", SLF's "Guitar and Drum", and "Coral Fang" by The Distillers.
I've heard some preview tracks from the Arctic Monkeys album, which sound pretty good. I'd be a bit hesistant about going to see them live, as I reckon most of their audience would be under 21, and I already feel quite old enough, without being reminded. :(
