Dunno where your scores come from. Glasvegas gets a 5/10 for me. Kings oF Leon cd didn't do much for me either. It was ok as background music, but didn't move me !

Feeling mellow so am going to try some Hooverphonics based upon the recommendation over the page.

They played a song on the radio the other day - one of those that just pops up now and again. Didn't know what it was called or who it was by. When the DJ (if they are still called that) said at the end, I wrote it down. While pottering about on Youtube earlier on, it popped into my mind. Lets check it out, i think. 'No Regrets' by The Walker Brothers. Listerned to 2 different live versions for over 2 hours - fucking fantastic.

Still trying to get into Julian Cope's fairly recent heavy vibe - Difficult- he should stick to pop IMO

I agree, Planetery Sit In still get regular plays round these parts, Rite had it's moments
but I kinda lost interest after Queen Elizabeth and all his heavy "Kraut Rock", more recent stuff.
The man can write a corking "pop" song, it's a pity he doesn't seem to try try try anymore.

Agreed - I had a mix of Cope stuff on the way home tonight and he's always the dude when it's just him and a cheap casio. Funny how something very basic like "Doomed" or "Jelly Pop Perky Jean" blows away his "heavy" rock out stuff.

He had the melodies man.
