Apparantly after Hugh recorded with Visconti the Manics were up for the Visconti treatment. Went out there for a month and laid down there tracks. Rumour has it that they got totally cheesed off with Viscontis recording methods, studio and just general Visconti feel. So they`ve abandoned it and retreated to a studio in Wales.
Could be absolute bollocks.
I guess Hugh seemed happy with Visconti's work and I must admit it sounded alright to me.

Hugh wasn't totally happy though as didnt he remix/rework two of the songs ?
Also, didn't Visconti make the comment in Hugh's diary that the songs were complete and that Hugh knew what he wanted to do when he arrived at the studio ?
