Skids Tour 2018

Post by Twosunspots »

Anyone seen them or going? Always liked the singles, but became a bit of a fan after tonight's gig in Cardiff, really impressed, not a bad tune for me, including the new stuff.

Saw them Friday in Frome, also going to Bilston and SBE.

The best live band around for me at the moment.

me and 2 mates went to the recording of their roundhouse show last year and they were outstanding. jobbo didn't stop bouncing all night. they used to take a bit of slagging in the old days....mainly due to some of the clothes RJ would wear. fashion must be just as important as the music for some people

Apart really from Joy, all of them.

For me as a long time fan it's The Absolute Game.

I think if you done a poll on the best skids album, the highest percentage would go to Days In Europa

I loved The Skids when I was a kid, 'Into The Valley' was me fave and still is, a fantastic choon and great riff from Stuart Adamson. Never seen em live and don't think I ever will, I just can't imagine them without Stuart I guess.
He was a bloody great guitar player (and seriously influenced by Yorkshires finest Mr Bill Nelson) and the only time I saw him was when Big Country performed before The Stranglers at the Reading Festival back in 1983. Which was nice.
