2018 new albums
Next year could be a cracking year for music. New albums from Hugh Cornwell, Manics, The Damned, John Ellis/ Paul Roberts,(I Know, I know it's an old one!) , Killing Joke and maybe even the mighty Stranglers!

Love Simple Minds but frankly Im dreading the new album. They have won back many of their fans in the last 5 years, with a recognition of the earlier material that made them popular, before they got lost in stadium waffle.
Now, they've ditched the drummer and keyboard player, and I believe we can expect expect an album that I have heard described as "church folk" ! Shame after rebuilding all the good will.

Re: 2018 new albums
Quite a few new albums to look forward to next year
Hugh
John And Paul
The Damned
Manic Street Preachers
Machine Head & the album i am most looking forward to the new Ghost album. I still regularly play 2015s "Meliora" but so far the script forthis album is that they say it has "More of an apocolyptic feel to it... Melioria was about what it is like to be controlled by Gods. For this album, Gods have been destroyed, and we are living in chaos". Sounds good to me.

I'm looking forward to the new Damned album and there's also a rumoured solo album by Rat Scabies.
Also the 4th by 'The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing' that probably means very little to most people here.

I like the first two records by the singer's previous band Creaming Jesus...
"Squat" and "Bloody Collar" are two of my favourites.

The first outing of a track from the new Damend album: "Standing On The Edge Of Tomorrow" (announced as the new single):
