Rehearsing Babylon with the band at the moment.
What a fine song .
What a fine song .
"Madame, Be in no doubt as to the seriousness of your position". The Day of the Jackal, 1973.
Re: ruts bootlegs
cheers Dom...a copy of that Ruts in Apeldoorn would be greatly appreciated.
Re: ruts bootlegs
As a slight aside from the thread, I live a couple of miles from Deeply Vale. I didn't see the Ruts in 78 but saw Spizz Energi in 79 and had a word with them in the campsite.

Re: ruts bootlegs
i read that the ruts actually met and formed the band at a deeply vale festival.
Re: ruts bootlegs
I basically have every recording ever made by The Ruts, Ruts DC and anything that any of the band members have ever done as guests on other people's records. Including the first recording of Paul Fox and Dave Ruffy....

Except I am missing one very illusive item.
And that is the single that Ruts DC released in 1981 under the name 'The Typhoons' which was a cover of 'Telstar' by 'The Tornadoes' backed with an original song called 'In Fae' A Brothin'.
I've never seen a copy or even heard it and I've been searching for it for over 30 years.
I've heard the live version of 'Telstar' on the Edinburgh bootleg but never the studio version.
If anyone has a copy, or a recording, I would be very interested.
