I first saw NMA in 2004? supporting The Stranglers at Escot Park in Devon.I had only heard a few of their songs prior to the gig,I wasn't expecting much.But oh how I was wrong,one of the

best live bands I have ever seen.The Stranglers were even better at that gig (but that's another story).After that gig I bought quite a few of their albums.I had a phase of listening to them

but wen't off them a bit (they are quite heavy listening).But recently I dusted down their albums and started playing a few.The result is that I realize they are one of the great bands IMHO

I can't think of any other band who have such passionate lyric's,of course they lean to the left but they truely believe what they say and have great songs and melody with a really strong

bass sound.They are even more ignored than the Stranglers used to be and their merchandise Is a lot cheaper.I must see them live again soon as they are a stunning live band.

Fantastic band, first saw them way back in 1985.
They are on my radar to see again this year, I am much more interested in seeing them again that a certain other band...

Check out their last two releases - 'Between Dog and Wolf' and 'Between Wine And Blood'.

With NMA i would definately start at the beginning - Vengeance / No Rest / ghost of Cain are all excellent and will get you into the feel of NMA

oh and get a nice pair of comfy clogs

Love them but never seen them live. Thunder & Consolation was prob their commercial peak. Some great stuff on there.

I wouldn't call myself an uber fan but I have about 7 of their albums,in fact last years release "Between wine and Blood arrived in post this morning.They have released about 14 studio albums

and I don't think they have made a bad album.Personal fav of the ones I have is "Impurity" from 1990.It has my fav track "Purity".They used to be on EMI but now release on their own label.

The main man is Justin Sullivan but all the band contribute.Their fans are as hardcore as Stranglers fans.
