Trying to get into them as there's some good stuff there but their prog-ness grates on me - Any recommendations?

Thanks Scott - Pretty decent - Does sound like a bit of Skids at the start but almost drifts into Queen

Baby Heart Dirt is a good tune, and I like their cover of Susannah's Still Alive a lot :)

There's some nuggets within that's for sure.

This was their hit. They were great on The Tube back in the day.

I think the likes of Blur and The Young Knives need to give them at least 10% of their earnings

This one is pretty nice - good guitar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXfC0Q-AZXw

I loved them back in the 80's, most of my chums didn't get them at all. Always unique and unpredictable, I think I'll give them a fresh listen.

Saw them support Blur @ mile end

They were really good and had a fairly unique sound

True, but I think XTC may have something to say about that, who in turn owe a debt to The Beatles.

I think this is a bit more blatent though. Beatles/XTC isn't as apparent - Let's overlook Apple Venus as that is Beatles by numbers!
