I bought it today, I've really enjoyed it. There is plenty of great old footage pre Stone Roses of Ian Brown, in a flight jacket, Oxblood Doc Martens and on a scooter. I really would like to get to see the Stone Roses one day.
Has anyone on here seen them before?

No I haven't seen them. probably never will.
A positive & negative opinion of them.
Negative:
Before they were famous or even had a record contract or before Anyone had heard of them, they put out a publicity stunt which to me, in the 1980's was below all standards. Someone, purposely put graffiti spraying Stones Roses on every Statue in Manchester - to gain publicity. I didn't like that. I'm an old punk but that was cheap and taking the piss.
Positive:
They have made a few good tunes. Nothing Special. Just Madchester Crap Era.
Don't get me on to the Happy Mondays!

Maybe I'll find love when there's nothing to do........

Never seen them but would have loved to get into the free gig at Parr Hall. Really enjoyed the DVD as well, they've matured.

I saw them the week their first LP came out in 1989 then again in 1995 and twice in 2012 at Heaton Park.
Saw the film a few months ago and really enjoyed it, will probably get the DVD.
Great band.

John Robb did a book on the Stone Roses last year, has a mention of the Stranglers in it, forget which band member it was now, who saw them.

It was Ian Brown, his first gig was at the Apollo, supported by the Drones.
