Well, I won't be doing that, but it's OK so far.

I've tried Mully and have even watched the thing 3 times but "Good Vibrations" is awful dirge. The people stating it's how it was are the same folk who're saying about it's many inaccuracies, that it's a drama not a documnetary.

But that's me and I'm just a cunt.

Best music film, Dom said it earlier Dig! Best drama music film, has to be the Spice Girls one or the Sound of Music. :smt006

Part 1 of The Eagles - surprising how much of their music I knew, but amazing behind the scenes stories (third encore was the hotel rooms after!!)

24 Hour party People
GOOD VIBRATIONS

Stardust(?) - the Davis Essex rise to fame one

Monterey Pop - Hendrix & Who are unbelieveable.
RATTUS at the ROUNDHOUSE - like the extras with the power outtage.

Some really good choices ( and a few shit ones too!) but I urge everyone ti find a copy or download a documentary called "Searching For Sugarman". Don't find out anything about it or it will be a major spoiler - just watch it!

Having said that it did give Rudi a lot of deserved recognition. One bright spot in an otherwise cliched, nostalgia fest. Charming as the film was, it was ultimately fatally flawed but one of the better movies to come out of Norn Irn, which really isn't saying a lot.

Another excellent documentary to watch out for is "Searching for Sugar Man".

Attended the premiere of Basically Johhny Moped at KoKo on the 19th Sept. Its directed by Captain Sensibles son, Fred Burns. Its a funny and poignant film and has interviews with Chrissie Hynde and Shane McGowan (although hes hard to understand). The band played after the film and they go to show you don't need to be a virtuoso or look a certain way to be cool. Highly recommended.
Blind acceptance is a sign - of stupid fools who stand in line.

I couldn't make the premiere but I've ordered the DVD.

Cool thread... I was immediately reminded of 1979 when the UK Subs film 'Punk Can Take It' hit the cinemas along with the movie 'Scum' 8)
Watch it here http://youtu.be/6Q-VqhPKfmM
Thank you very much
