The Bad Shepherds (Adrian Edmondson) new album 'Mud, Blood & Beer' includes a cover version of 'No More Heroes'.
And I really don't like it.
Or the terrible version of The Adverts' 'Gary Gilmore's Eyes'.

Strangely, I actually like the version of The Jam's 'Going Underground'.
The Bad Shepherds 'Mud, Blood & Beer'.

I know I won't like it without ever having to hear it, bored middle aged blokes who stopped being funny years ago trying to be ironic and failing miserably, they don't impress me that's my personal take on the bad shepherds anyway.

I dont mind hear songs in different styles and arrangements, I too get bored of seeing old Punk tribute bands.
Re: The Bad Shepherds 'Mud, Blood & Beer'.
Most of the 'punk' bands playing these days are a tribute to punk anyway, whether in the form of a tribute to their former glory or as bands just failing to come up with anything that matches the original, not saying there aren't a few still great 'punk' bands around, but they are few and far between in my opinion

Some of the Punk bands still make albums here and there, for someone who hasn't seen those bands in there peak I try and see as many of them as I can.
Re: The Bad Shepherds 'Mud, Blood & Beer'.
That's fair enough, shame that no newer bands can quite match the energy ofm old school punk and given that all the bands are older most of them don't sound very sincere to me any more
