Manchester Academy 3 - 15th April

I had reservations about this 'new' line up myself but made the effort to see them live a few years ago. It only took a few songs before I was thinking "Feargal who?". They were great entertainment and just as much fun as the original Undertones who I also saw a couple of times. They've also made 2 decent albums, well worth a listen.
i remember that night at the rescue rooms barry a top night it was, a few beers with a certain forum member made it even better  :smt023

Yeah, it was a great night Keith! Are you going on this tour? It's a Thursday night but I'm not missing out this time as I didn't catch The Undertones previous 2 visits to Nottingham due to being on Stranglers & Sex Pistols duties elsewhere.

KIng Tuts, Thursday past.

Brilliant gig. The played their first album in its entirety, including Casbah Rock  , followed by well known singles (you know at least one of em  ) and early album tracks. One cover I've never heard before, and a couple of their recent songs.

King Tut's was rammed (somone said Ally McCoist was there), the sound was excellent, audience up for it, wonderful songs, what more could you want? I even had a wee chat with John O'Neill, Mickey Bradley and Billy Doherty - all very down to earth, sound guys.

Catch em while they're hot. At a venue near you (except Norwich, naturally) :smt043

Absolutely stunning gig in Nottingham on Thursday night. Never heard the cover version that Don mentioned and they only played one post-Feargal song ('Thrill Me'). Quite a few more "obscure" tracks/b sides thrown in along with much of the second album. Venue sold out which was great to see...will upload some pics when I get the chance.
