A little birdie told me that after the Hammersmith gig all four members of KJ said that they are massive Stranglers fans, also Jet is Big Paul's favourite drummer. They all had nothing but good things to say about the Stranglers and again Jaz said something along the lines of the original band should get back together.

the band should do a couple of gigs with hugh,it would be a nice gesture by the band they havent got long left and there is a lot of people loosing interest fast.

Given the energy of the new line up of Killing Joke which is actually THE ORIGINAL, making their best album yet, the stranglers have got nothing to lose. It's funny that when I was listening to the new Killing Joke album (which has been non-stop) I was thinking if only the stranglers would get back to the line up the majority of us want. I've long heard influences of the stranglers in the early killing joke so it comes as no surprise that Jaz likes them. I think 20 years went by with total animosity between Jaz and Big Paul, so yeah why not Hugh and JJ?

Yeah I should have worded it differently but anyone who says the current line up is the best ever doesn't have a very credible view in my opinion

I've always been of the opinion that if they did get back together then fair enough. I just have this nagging doubt in the back of my mind that it would be shite. Too much to live up to IMO. I also think Hugh's and the Stranglers styles/outlooks are far apart these days as well.
