Whilst poking around the web searching for gigs in Amsterdam (for some reason  ) I noticed Killing Joke have now confrimed their tour. The tour includes 2 UK dates In Edinburgh & Hammersmith. The full itinerary is:
APRIL 2010 TOUR
15 - (UK) Picture House, Edinburgh
16 - (UK) Hammersmith Apollo, London
19 - (Fr) Bataclan, Paris
20 - (Be) AB Main Hall, Brussels
21 - (NL) Melkweg, Amsterdam
23 - (D) Werkstatt, Cologne
24 - (D) Grunspan, Hamburg
26 - (CZ) Lucerna Music Bar, Prague
27 - (PL) Mega Club, Katowictz

Don't forget The Godfathers Valentine's Day Massacre as another date for Feb 2010!
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!

Likewise - probably my second fave band . BUT.......... their last two albums I have found to be a bit samey - they're good .....but I wish Jaz would drop the shouting all the time and just sing now and again . I liked the Pandemonium album , lots of variety and good songs on that , but since then they seemed to have just aimed at pure loud noise .......... if it was Motorhead I could understand it , but I think sometimes they sell themselves short . I think by any other band the last two would be good albums , but for Killing joke , they're merely fairly good . Having said that I'll get any new album anyway .
All quiet ..........

I agree with you Jon. The last two albums have not been their best. I'm hoping they go for a more commercial sound this time too.

Think Jaz fucked his voice a long time ago!
Hosannas was a very powerful album but I think some of the songs were just too long.

Have just listened to the Universe B song on Youtube ........ its far more reminiscent of Pandemonium era ....... he sings on that one , but it was a Hossanna's song , or would have been if it wasn't left off the album - probably didn't fit in with the rest of the material . More like this one I hope in future . I still do like them a lot , but the albums more recently haven't lived up to the hype , and thats the pity of it . Seems like a few people hear others say how this ???? is their best ever , so they all play along and say the same . they're still better than most bands out there , but I think they sell themselves short .
All quiet ..........

It's ok, no Raven. Without him there's something missing.

Did you see them with "Youth" back on bass and Big Paul behind the kit last year? It's different but I wouldn't say there's something missing!
