First band you liked?

Probably Slade for me,They always seemed to have a single in the charts and i liked them all but bands like Sweet & T-Rex also got a lot of my attention.
Then the summer of '76 came along and murmurings of a new music scene happening in London started to filter through,And the rest as they say is history .
Nostalgia aint what it used to be

I thought that they were superb.Remember Den Heggarty on Tiswas etc.
I still have the greatest hits lp and i play it from timie to time.
Freedom, there ain't no f**king freedom!!!!
First band i seriously got into were Adam And The Ants, around the time of Kings Of The Wild Frontier. Still play a lot of the CDs now, as theer are some cracking tunes in his back catalogue.
I was quite lucky though, in that my sisters played a lot of decent music, so from a fairly young age i was listening by default to things like The Stranglers, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, JOy Division and Rush.

No dreams go in, no dreams go out, of the hole in his wrinkled head.
For me it would have to be a toss up between Jimi Hendrix,The Stones, Jethro Tull & Cream. I was very young at the time and shared a room with my big sister, who was 12 years my senior.Probably Jimi Hendrix on reflection. I was, however, besotted by George Harrison aged 4 ( My Sweet Lord and all that).
How deep?
Ah but the 21st birthday, you have to be skint. She'll be an adult so you can send her on her way.
Obviously you shouldn't but I'm sure some parents can't wait for the day.
This was my 21st birthday pressie. I choose it with my mum and her mum down Walthamstow High Street (not off a stall!) so it means that little bit more. It's quite expensive for us so until I get it fitted I wear a ring in front of it! plus the added security of fat knuckles.
