Goodbye Mr Mackenzie
Was racking my brains and going through some old diaries and ticket stubs last night and I may well have to replace GMM with The Psychadelic Furs who I saw around a dozen times in the early 80s!
Stranglers is 100+, Banshees around 25 and SoD and The Godfathers around 20 times each - prior to marriage and becoming a father I did used to go to a LOT of gigs!!
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!

Clearly!
I saw GMM at Leeds Warehouse - a mate of mine from Edinburgh knew the manager or something so we got on the guest list. Shame the band never made it, I thought they were tight.
1. Big Country - although a good number of those were on the guest list so top of those that involved paying in are...
2. The Stranglers
3. The Damned
4. The Mission
5. Motorhead
6. Manic Street Preachers
