So obvious when you think about it - I have some Luxuria live and he's not bad

The T&C Luxuria gig was one of the best gigs I've ever been to
Then I got tired of counting all of these blessings, and then I just got tired.

Gotta admit that all this talk of Magazine has fired me up a little. Weren't that arsed about 'em originally despite 2 or 3 good songs. Anyway, with a view to possibly taking in one of these new gigs I bought a re-mastered version of 'Real Life' over chrimbo. Have to say that on the whole I'm not that impressed. For sure the likes of 'My Tulpa', 'Definitive Gaze' & 'Shot By Both Sides' are excellent but the rest ain't up to much imho. Does it get any better than this? I have 'Rhythm Of Cruelty' on vinyl too which is a worthy effort but overall I'm still not excited about Magazine walking the boards once again.

Is 'Second Hand Daylight' a better album? What do you Devoto fans rate as the real classics? Would be interested to hear!

I adore the "Play" album. "The Correct use of Soap" and "Secondhand Daylight" are superb albums. I can't believe that Motorcade and Parade haven't impressed from "Real Life".

Oh well. :)

Real Life is probably the least played of my Magazine albums - Play is a great live album. Correct Use Of Soap and even Magic Murder and the Weather are worth checking out.

I bought 'The complete John Peel Sessions' from Zavvi a few weeks ago, absolutely brilliant live! There is no week link in the band, very much like the stranglers!
