It's not lost, they're still all there in a big old dusty box under Billy's bed.wanderlust wrote:love SEXUALITY his great lost pop single..

Always liked seeing him during the Maggie days when he was quite funny spouting off his anti Maggie rants.
He was always playing the festivals and i must have seen him about 20 times. Also saw him at a miners benefit gig in Newport.
I sort of lost touch when he started releasing records with a band.I always prefered just Billy and his guitar.
Must dig out his first two lps and give them a play.

I've got the same compilation and also favour the earlier solo material before he got a backing band.
Levi Stubbs Tears, The Milkman Of Human Kindness and To Have And Have Not are all fantastic songs.
Greetings To The New Brunette is my daughter's favourite (perhaps something to do with the lyrical content which includes ice cream and chocolate ), and gets an airing in the car several times a week.

The new album is worth checking out, especially the special 2 disc edition where you get the full band on one disc and solo Billy on the other. Nerdily I have mixed them up!
Big fan of the Braggster, the box sets are worth getting as well.
