Great guy and great fun to meet, and a MIB fan to boot!!!
I met him at a book signing in Reading around 88 I belive. American Pie .
He arrived from his sisters in Henley in a pink Cadilac!!
He talked for a while while having a slurp or 7 then answered questions, i asked him how to flambe properly!!
Afterwards, me a a few others went to a little bar opposite the book store where Keith polished off a bottle of JD. We talked about cookinf and the stranglers for ages, great night out . I still have most of his books and use them now and again.
Top bloke,
Cheers keith!!!!
We occassionally get his shows over here, but far too infrequently.......

Has he been ill? You could say that.....

Last I heard he'd had a stroke after been held at gunpoint during an armed robbery at his house. Then he had the legal and press trauma of being convicted of drink driving not long after. Then last year he had to cancel a tour because he'd developed a mystery illness which saw him experience blackouts.

At the age of 63, and after a life of galavanting around the globe pissing it up, and a few high profile divorces under his belt.... not to mention the odd bankcruptcy.... it'll make ya look a wee bit ill for sure.

Indeed Jim - he definately looks better now.

Hopefully he'll tour again this year.

Yeah I'll be on for that - especially the free glass of wine.

Very interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Floyd
