Good evening from Tuscany.

The red wine here is dirt cheap and fantastic. Yesterday, I had a bottle of fizzy pink Pinot Grigio for Euro 4.5 ! Delicious :smt061 :smt061

Tomorrow, I take myself to a railway track west of Siena where I am guaranteed an interesting level crossing as the line swings South East to Siena.

Thank you for the excellent Coventry gig reviews which I have read quaffing yet more red wine.

Best wishes,

PiL

Sometimes only a decent bottle of red, Feline on the headphones and a dark winters night will do.

Four wine boxes between Christmas and New Year. Pretty good going.

Synthemesc 'Rose' (forest fruits... rather sharp)
Vellocet 'Red' (full bodied with cinnamon overtones... travels well)
Drencrom 'Blanc' (hints of vanilla, rather energetic... a wicked little number) :smt077

Waitrose are doing a 2007 Tempranillo Gran Reserva at £5.99.

It is phenomenal.

Get involved. Bless her; she's probably got about six to eight months of life left, so get involved for some early Spring consumption.

Tesco are up to something.

Their lower three wine shelves in all stores are selling good stuff at knock down prices.

Hats off and thanks to Aldi.
