Something for the weekend.
If you love red wine, try to get a bottle of this.
The absolute dogs.
Well worth the extra expense.
Anyone out there got any particular favourites?

I'm a big fan of Rioja too.
Comes from my time living down there - plate of cheese and bread sitting out in the afternoon sun (and if one pushed on through)/moonlight supping the best of the batch from the local hypermarket.
It really does depend on what batch/year you get with regards the finer points of taste but the Albali that Sainsburys do is a safe bet although at almost quadrouple the price we'd pay for the fucker down there it's a bit of a rip off. Are import costs REALLY enough to justify the huge increase in price I ask?
Still can't quite believe Sainsburys sent me on a wine tasting course when I was only 20 for a week. I was wrecked the entire time I was down there. Funny thing was that the shitty inner city branch I worked at never sold large quantities of wine but owing to the fact I was chummy with the pisshead manager I got my name on this crack course! Recall one particular chavvie customer:
"Can you recommend a decent cheap wine mate?"
"Yes, here's some Lambrini...."
"Looks good. One glass of that and she'll drop 'er knickers ennit!"
Tip for tha ladies: When drinking neat spirits swill the glass around and the liqour should form perfect arches down the inside of the glass. If it doesn't then you've either been fobbed off with cheap shit or some cunt has spiked ya drink.

If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Is anyone else in the Vigin wine club? Really decent stuff in there from good vineyards and quite reasonable prices too. You normally pay about £70 - £90 for a case and I've never found a bad bottle yet. Some serious rich reds in there along with the drinkable whites.
No hassle to join or pay and I got offered the chance to get a BOGOF and now they just send me a case every three months.
Worth checking out.

I have nice Riscal here in front of me - decent price. Very drinkable indeed...also if you come across a Morellino di Scansano - Italian red from the Marche district - really good stuff tastes a bit like a barolo...but way cheaper, you can probably pick it up a lot easier in the UK than here in Canada...
Freddie Laker showed them what to do...
