Anyone taken heed of JJ's passion for this Japanese author? I've read his autobiographical 'Confessions of a Mask' and was quite impressed, although one can see why he came to such a bizarre end! Haven't got around to reading any of his fictional works...can anybody point me towards anything particular?

Our lass has got some of his stuff but I`ve never read it - I got the Mishima "Life In Four Chapters" DVD and it`s really good - bit sketchy in some parts but it comes together when you watch it again.

"Sea of Love" is quite good, but not typical Mishima.

A far more interesting and contemporary Japanese author is Haruki Murakami ...all his books are worth reading but "Norwegian Wood" is a classic.
