Taxpayers' Alliance
Ministers should waste no time to make unpopular cuts to pensioner benefits, a think tank director has said.
Many of those hit by a cut to the winter fuel allowance might "not be around" at the next election, said Alex Wild of the Taxpayers' Alliance.
And others would forget which party had done it, he added.
So, if you fought for this country in world war 2, for example, you're still a useless eater and should hurry up and freeze to death.
What an incredibly vicious bitter and vindictive country this is becoming.

The billions wasted on foreign aid and EU would be better spent on our own people.....ensuring our pensioners are treated with dignity in their last years.

The Tax Payers Alliance? A pressure group of the Tory party which shares many mutual right wing lunatic fringe financial donors, whose leaders include, a petroleum geologist and a former chief economist at Lehman Brothers and a retired teacher who lives in France and does not pay UK tax.
They really should be called the Tax Evaders Alliance. Anyone who falls for their bullshit, which doesn't stand up to scrutiny, is completely lost.

So, anyhow, what's your opinion on Charlotte Church's performance on QT?

Re: Taxpayers' Alliance
Thought she gave some nuanced opinions, although her take on Syria and global warming was nothing short of daft. She talked about people researching the reasons behind Syrian migration, it appears the lovely Charlotte got her info from a Guardian article by Elle Mae O'Hagan who's equally unhinged.

Why would I? An idiot is still an idiot no matter if they're left, right or centrist. whether it's blaming the shite weather on gay equality or the Syrian crisis on on a drought.

More establishment / Tory hatred for the little people. They barely bother disguising it these days, whether it's working people to death, raping kids or letting old folk freeze to death:

Re: Taxpayers' Alliance
The Taxpayers Alliance are one of a myriad of right-wing think tanks with harmless sounding names, whose raison d'etre is to appear on the news talking Tory bollocks whilst giving the false impression of academic impartiality.
Greetings, fellow Stranglers fans.
