Ukraine
Apparently Poland called for Nato assurance and assistance as did Lithuania on Sunday just gone.
Anyway, back to The Tour but let's keep an eye on this.

It's complex the situation In Ukraine. And of course Ukraine has an agreement with Russia to have the Black Sea Naval fleet in Crimea. But Putin knows he can do what he likes (as with Nuclear weapons) A Nato military mission Is a non starter.

Re: Ukraine
I don't think all parties are mad enough to let it go as far as ending the world as that would be in nobody's interest and in a nuclear conflict no one is the winner that is why WMD are just a deterrent. I don't think Vlad is stupid enough to start on Poland or the baltics as he would then be pushing his luck. A lot of it is mind games with the west and all I can see happening is the west imposing sanctions which will be very limited as there is a lot of Russian money in western economies!

The consequences of tomorrow's "vote" should be interesting.

83% turnout and 97% in favour of joining Russia?
And tractor production is already up 147% this morning too.

JOhn Simopson on Radio 4 this morong said he thought the vote figures were probably genuine on the basis that those opposed to leaving Ukraine boycotted the referendum

Putin is a baddie now, Really???
It's only a few weeks or so, since 'Dave' was licking his arse trying to get him to come out against Scottish Independence???

And no doubt left Dave in no illusion that Ukraine/Crimea was a Russian Domestic situation. The president of Russia has said the Scottish independence debate is a domestic matter for the United Kingdom and not one for his country.
