That woulda been good and wonder if anyone thought to play the Judy Garland sing the BBC banned!!
Re: Glastonbury on TV
Portishead were superb - best thing of the weekend, from the little I caught. As ever, Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds were great (The Mercy Seat being a particular highlight).Jake wrote:Rockula wrote:For 4 weeks apparently.Jake wrote:I know a lot of you guys speak highly of John Robb here, I'll just say his review of Portishead is compellling me that I must be sure to watch their set on the i-player, does anyone know how long it will stay up there for

Surprised PiL didn't get much more of a mention - they played a blinder.

I saw some of Johnny Marr as well. He did a superb version of "There is a Light". I must admit it brought a tear to my eye. Not many songs do that to meAlexinblack wrote:Saw Johnny Marr, Big mouth strikes again sounded really good.

Shame when he signs it's nothing like having Morrissey, Andy Rourke recentlyu joined Marr on stage, so never say never about Morrissey taking us all by surprise
Re: Glastonbury on TV
Mumford and sons what a band ? not.I watched a few seconds of their set (for musical educational purposes) I was so bored that I turned over to watch Kenny Rodgers.I never thought In my life that I would like Kenny Rodgers but compared to Mumford and sons he was fantastic and he even got a bit sarcastic with the crowd (what a rebel). All this makes me think how lucky we are to still have The Stranglers and Hugh of course.
