It has to be the British Museum. One stop on the Piccadilly line to Russell Square... all the world's treasures in one place.

It has to be an excellent use of time and doable (travel there and back factored in) in <2 hours. I was initially thinking about the Tate but it's "other side of the river" and initially a bit of a fuck about to get to? That said I'm not adverse to the Tube.

Any *sensible* suggestions?

Been there for a day and didn't even get off the ground floor, I'd guess 3-4 days to do it justice.
2 hours would just about do the gift shop & a coffee maybe???

Go and see some Stranglers' landmarks... Alternatively, marvel at the gold paved streets & well spoken, polite locals 8)
