I woke my 12 year old lad up this morning to say have a good day & he started singing this to me, just like when it went to No1 when I was 12

Re: Schools Out
I remember seeing this on TOTP at the time. I loved the original Alice Cooper group, and this was a very rare chance to see them on TV. Great song, and they had even better stuff on their albums. Producer Bob Ezrin had a lot to do with making them sound so good, in a similar way to Martin Rushent being so important to The Stranglers' early output. Excellent band (before the split).
Talking bullshit on a slow repeat.

Re: Schools Out
Always liked this song and Alice Cooper's 1975 album 'Welcome To My Nightmare'.
Hugh - "We had gangs of skinheads coming along trying to cause problems and stuff"
Rick Wakeman - "How did you deal with it?"
Hugh - "Our bass player used to jump off the stage and beat the shit out of them!"
