Not doing any gig/album/band reviews by any chance?
My early press cuttings will be displayed here soon. I think I have one of the first Daily Mirror cuttings mentioning Jet & JJ locked up for the night in London... plus loads more.
Brilliant stuff. Weirdly, I've sort of got a new job as well, as I'm caring for my Dad now as my Mum's been in hospital 9 weeks, next stop for her is a temporary bed in a home and we wait to see how she improves.

And I'm supposed to be off to MEN Arena toneet for Roger Waters' gig.

Well done Ian.

Yep.

After 27 years working for a major national newspaper company.. then redundancy.. then caring for my father - who has seen the Stranglers many times but now suffers from Dementia and is in a Care home..

I applied for a job with the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N. Media).

Invited to an interview, I thought... 'In for a Penny, in for a Pound' and gave it my Best. 10% nervous 90% convident!

I won! Got the Job! Little Apprentice Me!

Just had to share this as I thought I'd never work again.

Still..... 6 months propabation but I can,t wait to getting back into it!

Cheers Everyone.

Ian

Thanks for all your kind words of support. I really do appreciate it.

My job title is 'City Centre Team Leader'.... 3 of us managing the Distributors & Retailers who sell / hand out the Manchester Evening News in the City Centre. Targets to be met etc.

I am really looking forward to this. Just hope it all works out!

I'll let you know in 6 months!

Thanks again.
