I've Got a New Job!

Post by Ian9331 »

I've Got a New Job!

Yep.

After 27 years working for a major national newspaper company.. then redundancy.. then caring for my father - who has seen the Stranglers many times but now suffers from Dementia and is in a Care home..

I applied for a job with the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N. Media).

Invited to an interview, I thought... 'In for a Penny, in for a Pound' and gave it my Best. 10% nervous 90% confident!

I won! Got the Job! Little Apprentice Me!

Just had to share this as I thought I'd never work again.

Still..... 6 months propabation but I can,t wait to getting back into it!

Cheers Everyone.

Ian

My early press cuttings will be displayed here soon. I think I have one of the first Daily Mirror cuttings mentioning Jet & JJ locked up for the night in London... plus loads more.
Maybe I'll find love when there's nothing to do........

Fantastic news mate.

You obviously love your job and that should be evident to your new employers.
Most places have a probation period these days, more of a contractual thing to protect them.
