Gerraint Thomas (Team GB/Team SKY from Wales) has fractured his pelvis and yet continues to cycle. He fractured it on Saturday and only found out yesterday.

It took a few attempts to get his leg over the bike this morning. Fucking Hell footballers, you fall on a tuppence and complain!!! Fecking poofs!

Ha! So true! School sports day: a football fanatic friend of my son's had on a support bandage around his knee for effect and to excuse any poor results. My son was proudly displaying the wounds on his shoulder, elbow and knee from where he came off in a road race last week. I don't like seeing these huge scrapes but I was impressed with his determination and how he'd got back up and finished the race. Got to be a lesson for life in there somewhere!

(My Velogames fantasy team's not doing too badly at the moment!)

Cyclists are a hardy bunch aren't they??? Cycling in the snow in races or pouring rain, when the footballers get a pitch inspection and get told, watch out it's too wet to play on grass.

Who've you got in your team? My wife always loves little Tommy Voeckler - Well, he's not so little or baby faced any more, but I think she has a soft spot for him, and Nicolas Roche.

Not such a good day for my team :( They've fallen just out of the top 200 now. But that's not bad because there's over 19,000 teams registered! My main point scorers are Peter Sagan and Daryl Impey. Thomas Voeckler's my only team member not to have got me a single point. It's still early days, could go either way!

Back in the real world, my youngest is currently ranked in the top 30 under 8 girls' national cycling points in British Cycling :smt023
