La Folie - Help?

Post by 50millionwatches »

Just been going through my Stranglers record collection and itemising everything...
I have drawn a blank on one particular vinyl album.

Catalogue number is LBG 30342 (062-83 219)
It is a gatefold copy of La Folie, with no markings as to where it was made. The run-out has 'TOWN HOUSE' in it..
The Liberty label is grey - fading to white. A re-issue??

Maybe NMH1965 or Owen can shed more light on this?

Thanks...in anticipation..

No, got that one Gizz. Its a gatefold with the heart facing inwards on one side and the lyrics facing inwards on the other side.
it does have LBG 30342(I) in the top right hand corner.

No way Jose! All my vinyl is safely stored downstairs.
Only Strangs related stuff up in the loft is all the old SIS vids(now up-graded to DVD's which are also downstairs).

I have never seen or heard of a gatefold sleeve for 'La Folie', so that must be extremely rare. The catologue number 062-83 219 is very similar to the dutch release which is 064-83 219 but that wasn't a gatefold sleeve. Could you post a photo of the sleeve and record label? It would be interesting to see the gatefold sleeve. It appears to be a bit of a rarity 8)

I did read something in Strangled about a La folie gatefold sleeve.

How much would you say the Who wants the world 7 inch with the non 79p rrp sticker on is worth?

The gatefold sleeve is also in a matt finish, not gloss.
Also the background on the rear sleeve is white instead of the normal pink!
