Had a VIP visitor today....
Ok so some of you may not be too impressed with this but today I had a personal visit in my office by....David Cameron.
He was in Bath for a public meeting and the Tory candidate persuaded him to come and visit our office and I spent about 20 minutes with him talking politics.
Now I farrrrrrrrrrrrr from being a Tory but as someone who loves politics the chance to have a genuine conversation from the man whio is (after all) highly likely to be the next PM was one I rather enjoyed. He's a nice guy to be honest and he comes over well and is very personable. I met Mr Brown in March and he had many qualities that put him ahead of Cameron but for warmth, charisma and motivational qualities the Tory boy is ahead of the game. I got to admit he was pretty impressive. I nwouldn't vote for him but I won't be burning effigys either.
And before anyone asks, no i didn't (I am ashamed to say) ask him about The Stranglers. I do now regret this. I mean spending cuts, Afghanistan and elections are one thing but why didn't I ask him if he thinks Coup De Grace is under-rated or which single he would have chosen to follow up Golden Brown? Sorry chaps......

Also having a big interest in politics could you extend on that please Sam? I'm intrigued to understand your point of view here, what qualities does Brown have that put him ahead of Cameron ?saminblack wrote:I met Mr Brown in March and he had many qualities that put him ahead of Cameron but for warmth, charisma and motivational qualities the Tory boy is ahead of the game. Again out of interest, what policies of Cameron's don't you agree with ? If you don't want to discuss your personal political views then I understand, that's fair enough.
If you ever get the chance to pick up the following book for a few quid then I can definitely recommend 'Cameron On Cameron' by Dylan Jones (editor of GQ Magazine) - a real page turner, great read.
Cheers,
Adam
PS Hey my hats off to you, first Howard now Cameron..when you chatting to Hague?
Tried to wipe you from my memory

politics? Politics? Fook me. . Who in their right mind would commit or believe the rhetoric of these professional bullshitters? Its all mince. Decisions have been made well before we hear of them, and on a local level sometimes yrs. Theoretically politics are great especially explaining why you believe in such and such a policy. . Anyone who doesn't want to help their fellow man there's summat far wrong with them. . How about national socialism? Charity begins at home? .

Nice one Sam.
If you had asked DC what the follow up single to "Golden Brown" should have been, who knows, he might have said, "La Folie".
That would be cool.

I have met Cameron a few times and once had dinner with him. He has a foul temper and seemed to be all over the place on the issues I have discussed with him(globalisation, world trade etc - a couple of years ago). The best Parliamentarian by far on the Tory front bench is William hague, who, like our very own JJ, is a karate expert ...

I would agree with that Cassini - to be frank I wish Hague was still leader.cassini wrote:The best Parliamentarian by far on the Tory front bench is William hague
