That's interestingBag Lady wrote:Passenger, rarely see freight.
Re: Level Crossings.
I should clarify: by slow I mean a stopping service that was either pulling into (going south) or out of (going north) the station.Bag Lady wrote:Passenger, rarely see freight.
Could I hazard that this is less interesting?

Re: Level Crossings.
Further clarification: I was obviously sat at the north level crossing because if I'd been at the one to the south then the south bound train would have been pulling out of the station and the north bound train...you get the picture.Bag Lady wrote:I should clarify: by slow I mean a stopping service that was either pulling into (going south) or out of (going north) the station.Bag Lady wrote:Passenger, rarely see freight.

Re: Level Crossings.
Interesting.
I think the train company in question were at fault on this occasion.
Delays at level crossings result in backed up road traffic and a destablised traffic signal system

I hate to say this but I'm no longer interested
Re: Level Crossings.
The whole area is destabilised. The only traffic control round here are the level crossings. And the badly parked Porsches abandoned when their owners run to catch the trains; obviously we speed up when we see those.

Its a toss up between Croydon and Manchester for Trams possibly Croydon for me because you can get mowed down by a Tram in Manchester at any time.
