I was at the Gateshead stadium gig and remember Roberts slagging off Newcastle United. The crowd didn't take to this very well and some of them wanted to be at him. The next time the Stranglers played Newcastle City Hall he came on stage wearing a Newcastle United strip. That's what i remember, it was a while ago. I also left during Simple Minds, thought they were awful.
