Early 78 I think?

I can vaguely remember exchanging my 'Tubes - What do you want from Live' album for a mates 'Rattus' in the corridor at school. Rushing home, plonking it on the old Fidelity mono turntable and playing it non-stop for about a month. A real rennaisance moment. I think it eventually fucked the 1/2 a watt speaker up. The whole album was played at max volume, apart from that bit in 'Ugly' of course!:p

Talking about The Tubes, hope this thread doesn't turn into a 'I was a punk before you were a punk' debacle.:D Whether you discovered them in the pubs 1974 or as a chance buy in HMV 2004, don't matter a fuck to me.

We all know we are fans of the finest band in the World:blues:

Bought Rattus, and was hooked, heroes on day of release. Brilliant.......aah memories

Bought "Peaches" when it was in the charts. How I loved playing the swear word really loud, still do, although I didn't know what a clitoris was, still don't.

Haha. Thats because it's like a female Santa Claus, It dont exist.
No wonder we dont hardly get any females posting on these forums.
Anyway, soon after buying "Peaches" I bought "Rattus" and I've been with them ever since.
When I think of the bands I could have devoted my life to, The Jam, The Clash, U2, Duran Duran, but no the Stranglers have always been my band.
Christ, I'm a loser.
But as always I dont fucking care.
