The gig guy...
I have used the search function but to no avail... Can anyone remember the name of the guy that's been to basically every good gig ever in england? He has a really cool site, I remember in his top ten best gigs ever there was a few ac/dc gigs and the no.1 spot went to the pistols at the screen on th...

One of my best mates is John Foxx's son. When we go down the pub and have a few beers we end up singing Vienna really loud just to piss him off.

Re: Neil Young- Rust Never Sleeps
I love Neil Young. I've already spent far too much money on tickets for gigs and festivals this summer but i'm seriously considering buying a ticket to see him in Hyde Park. If it was a nice summer's evening I reckon it would be a beautiful show. But on top of numerous gigs, two festivals, and ticke...

Re: New Manics song
Really really looking forward to this album now. The two new songs i've heard (Peeled Apples, Jackie Collins') are both absolute belters. I was thinking about people saying this is gonna be The Holy Bile part 2 which from the interviews i've heard, the band are denying. I'm sure they want to distanc...

Re: New Manics song
Albini is a Stranglers fan ain't he? Jim I can't wait for this album. Both the new tracks sound brilliant. THB is one of my favourite albums ever. They've got Steve Albini in to produce this record which is why it sounds duurrty. Yeah, i'm sure i've read him saying he likes them somewhere. As a pro...

Re: BURNINGPILOT debut lp Cold Caller
I can't believe there's been so little interest shown on here about this band...They are simply blistering.....The album is fucking blinding. If you like The Stranglers then you simply cannot fail to like this band...http://www.myspace.com/burningpilot . Taken from The Guardian's band of the week co...

Re: Reading Hexagon
The Purple Turtle is probably the best. It's Reading's premier 'rock pub' - ie it has a good jukebox and it's not mainly frequented by idiots in tracksuits that want to stab you. Or Pavlov's Dog, but that might be a bit too 'student-y' for you lot! Both are within walking distance of the hexagon.

Re: Reading Hexagon
I live in Reading, could've suggested a few places that are better than the allied, but if it's decided then best to go with this. Anyone else up for a few beers beforehand?
