Scotland Calling, starting in about 20 minutes. I’ve completely lost track of who is on, given all the reschedules but I think Cockney Rejects are headlining. Skids, Rezillos, U.K. Subs might also be involved. Guess I’ll find out later…

New addition- John Otway is playing a free concert in St Albans this Sunday. He claims it will be his 4,990th show and is working up to playing his 5,000th at Shepherd’s Bush some time. Wanted to see him live for a while, but I can’t help thinking that once will be enough.

His drumming sounds more muscular (to my non-drummer’s ears) than Jet did. Didn’t Jet play in a jazz band at some point, or was he just an avid listener of jazz music? Either way that might have impacted his playing to make it more subtle.
