Re: Hi fi's
Adam, I also have the Marantz 6003, accompanied with the PM6003 amp. I've complemented this with Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers. An altogether enjoyable combination - especially when cranked up!! Rich Nice one Rich, I intend to test out the PM soon, I believe it was designed to go with the CD6003...

Hi fi's
Right then, for those of you who like your music on something a bit more substansial than general all in one stereo's or Ipod docking stations etc I thought I would start this thread with a view to discussing/debating favourite brands/set ups. It would interest me to know what hi-fi each of you play...

Re: XTC- The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead
I haven't heard all of XTC's releases however Nonsuch is one of the few albums on my iPod by any band where I've got most album tracks on there. TBOPP isn't one of my favourites off the album, if I had to choose I'd go with Books Are Burning, Humble Daisy, The Smartest Monkeys & The Disappointed...

Re: Manics - Postcards From A Young Man
The reviews of the new album sound good - violins, gospel choirs - Sounds very rich - hopefully very pop! Jim It's growing on me now-looking forward to the tour and album... Oh theve not gone gay again have they? They were on the right track with "Journal for plague lovers". The next time...

Re: Manics - Postcards From A Young Man
I know next to nothing about the Manics but clicked on the link out of curiousity and was surprised to see a lot of those venues are the same as what the Stranglers play. I always thought of the Manics as a big draw. Is this one of those trendy "intimate" tours that big bands do or somethi...

Re: Happy Birthday James Hetfield
Judging by the misguided nonsense above and the aforementioned pics it sounds to me like you need to get laid.
But what we really want is for you to post your favourite set of Lars Ulrich pics when it's his birthday, can you do that? Can you do that for us Pigeon?
Please.

Re: Happy Birthday James Hetfield
Oh no Pigeon I'd say fawning over a metal guitarists photos is much gayer than attending a wedding.
For you the gig was only up the road and presumably you had nothing better to do than attend that gig other than spend all day playing on Wankcraft sorry Warcraft, same difference.

Re: Happy Birthday James Hetfield
Somehow I very much doubt you post 'Happy Birthday Baz Warne' for all the narrow minded thicko's on the Metallica forum  Or indeed several photos of Baz through the years adding gay messages like "one of my favourites"....... :?: That would be funny on a metal forum. Adam

Re: 2010 World Cup Thread
You suspect I would be more comfortable with The Sun? I suppose you also suspect I buy the Daily Express just because it's a Tory paper - no I don't. The Sun is crap, a paper previously associated with that nincompoop Kelvin MacKenzie! I see you haven't got a bad word to say about the Mirror with it...

Re: 2010 World Cup Thread
Soon as the team had reached the semis, these same 'news'papers were hailing them heroes. Fuckin wankers. Ive never bought The Daily Mirror again. They dont give a shit about the team, solely interested in selling their crappy papers. And these journalists drink themselves silly on free fuckin beer...
