Re: Glastonbury 2019
I saw some of The Cure's set, didn't do much for me but then I don't really know their stuff. The first four or five songs just seemed a bit slow for a festival headline set to me. I caught some of The Killers in the pub on the Saturday night, again I only know the stuff that's been on the radio but...

Re: Bands you disliked but are now quite a fan of
I seem to pretty much hate everything I hear on the radio these days! I used to, but I find a lot of it is growing on me. I listen to Radio 1 while I'm working on the car, and it's surprising how much they play that I don't dislike. There's still a lot that I do of course, but plenty of it is quite...

Re: An example of how the Daily Mail lies
Is the first post an example of how they "lie" as such, or is it just an example of incredibly poor journalism and even worse fact-checking? Have they sacrificed the latter in the race to be first with the news? I just wonder whether it's reasonable to say that someone actually say down an...

The Blood Road, by Stuart McBride. Good book, as his usually are.

Re: Dave's gear through time
£200 isn't a lot to pay for something these days , I would think double that and you get far better Would changing the keyboards themselves make all that much difference to the sounds, if all they do is control rack-mounted synths? Surely a block of keys is a block of keys, it just needs to be reli...

Most recent one I can find: http://stranglers-ratter.blogspot.co.uk ... pment.html
Maybe Dave should do an update, if it's changed much.

Re: Dave's gear through time
I just feel Dave doesn't sound as amazing as he did back in the 70's/80's, there's none of that 'Phat Analogue' synth sound, it's just - to use a technical term, all a bit 'Plinky Plonky'? I'd agree to an extent. Certainly if they do something like "Nuclear Device" with the big fat...

Re: Dave's gear through time
(I'd like to preface this comment with "I know nothing about keyboards", which may become apparent to those of you who do.) But I thought that the keyboards Dave plays live are just to control rack-mounted synths, so the sound quality and output isn't anything to do with the keyboards them...

Re: "The Undertones" what a great band IMHO.
I saw that, it's been on before but it's quite interesting. I was surprised that Feargal wasn't in the documentary, is he so annoyed with the remaining members that he won't participate, or is he just "busy"? I also hadn't realised that he didn't write any part of any of the songs, so I'm ...

Re: Pop Will Eat Itself anyone????
I've heard of them, but can't say I'm familiar with any of their stuff. I do watch "Car SOS", though.
