I'm a big magazine fan. 'Secondhand Daylight' was one of the first 'peel'-type albums I got well into. Not mad about the other albums but they have their moments and every song on Secondhand is fab and makes up for their weaker moments. My favourite song of theirs though is only on the compilation ...

I'll go with Franz Ferdinand as well. In fact, I went to see them at the SECC in December purely so I could see the Fire Engines. And I get into a rammy with some FF fans. All the more delightful as I have it on minidisc :D We left straight after Fire Engines came off and by the time FF came on we ...

Paul Sturrocks Blue and White army!:D Not for much longer - Dundee Utd want him ! Paul If Luggy has any sense he'll stay put for as long as he can. My team (Celtic) are nestling at the top of the premier but boy are me and the missus bored at the games. I've had a season ticket for 20 years nearly ...

JCC was great on the three Fall dates I caught last year. Still doing material from the late 70s as well!

Fall have been storming live of late. Best since the 1990 shows easy. That box set is well worth saving up for too!

I don't think that much of it. I've never been one for hob nobbing with the stars or name dropping, but when they were working on Get Ready I got a phone call from the studio and heard a couple of tracks down the phone....which I only really put in to put in context that there was a time when I was...

Call me a prat but it took me around 5 years to work out that a vast percentage of people on the internet write like and are wankers.

Present and certain other company excepted! :)

I saw him in Bridlington in September. I was really looking forward to it, but found the gig to be more like being in a church than at a gig, and the material off his new album is very weak in my opinion. I was kind of that opinion too after seeing him in Edinburgh in August...so I didn't go throug...

I watched it again tonight and got as misty eyed this time as last time. I had to do conducting as part of the later piano grades I did but only to one piano player.

I would have shit myself before going on stage before all those people.

She's not on here, but my other half doesn't play anything. I tried to teach her the basics of bass playing in the mid 80s to no avail.

However, she was talking only last night about getting piano lessons.

imagine a pint over a keyboard would do considerably more damage than it would over a guitar. Mind you my piano weighs something like 16 stone so I doubt I'll be taking it to a gig in the near future. My Hammond C3 weighs over 30 stone and used to depress the fuck out of me after gigs when it was t...
