Kitchen Nightmares

Bit of Peaches was played in Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares this evening, oddly enough while he was walking around a beach in Spain. Wonder if he`ll be trying to use Waltzinblack next.......? Unless Keith Floyd gets a bit territorial about music??

Weird one to try is Absolut Raspberri vodka with orange juice in it. It tastes exactly like the fruit salad penny chews you used to be able to get. And more importatntly gets you stealthily pissed. Absolut seem to be coming out with all manner of different flavoured vodkas these days. Im starting to...

and £4.50 to park your car  Tracy 8) That is one things that really put me off going to see bands at the SECC - the tickets are usually pricey enough, but to then charge you to park your car as well, thats just taking the piss a bit. Probably wouldnt mind so much if it was a quid (mildly anno...

Just a thought about all that Jack Daniels being down in the sewer - does that explain the line in the song about the empty coca-cola cans? The rats are using them for mixers??

I do like a wee dram myself, and personally im with Adam in that i like mine without ice or water. It is worth checking out how the smell of whisky alters, even with the addition of only a few drops of water - it does seem to open the flavours up a bit. Dont mind your standard cooking whiskies like ...

Jack Daniels - down in the sewer

Saw this on another forum - http://www.kentucky.com/news/state/story/232342.html Seems such a waste to just pour the stuff down the drain, especially given the rarity and age of some of the bottles. Still, i suppose anyone who doesnt like it may just argue that its cutting out the middle man?

Just a scabby old telecaster copy here, but it keeps me amused. Sounds decent enough through the amp i have which is an old 30 watt alligator amp, which is the most delightful shade of green.

Interesting thing for this show from the merchandising point of view, is that they were able to offer a CD of the show we had just seen, available more or less as soon as you left the hall. Im guessing from a copyright point of view it might be a little more problematic to sell music this way than i...

Bill Bailey

Just got back from seeing Bill Bailey in Glasgow, where there was a definite Stranglers angle on the evening. Not only did we get No More Heroes and Golden Brown played before the show, but they were mentioned during the show as well! He was doing a bit about song lyrics, and how some were about dru...

So sorry to hear about his passing. Didnt actually meet him, but corresponded with him a few times on PM and e-mail, and he was always a decent, friendly guy with a genuine and deep love for music. 39 is no-age to be checking out at.

RIP mate, the world`s a duller place without you.

Anyone else heard their cover of the old Adam And The Ants single Zerox? I heard it the other night and i really liked it, but then i liked the original.

Anyone seen them live or can recommend any of their older stuff?

I started with Black Holes and Revelations and the Origin Of Symmetry. Definite Queen influence on Black Holes, mainly on some of the vocals which are multi tracked. Dont let that put you off though, they are a good band.

Havent seen them live unfortunately.
