Hazel O Connor

Went off to see Hazel O Connor doing her Beyond Breaking Glass show at the Edinburgh Fringe on Friday. I`d read a bit about the shwo before going, so i knew we were in for an evening with her and a harp player doing arrangements of songs from throughout her career. Was quite sure how that would work...

Dublin

Anyone got any recommendations for places to eat or things to do in Dublin? Heading over there in July for a long weekend, and have the obvious stuff like the Guinness tour planned, but just wondered if there were any decent places of the beaten track to seek out?

Tom Waits

Was intending on pciking up a few Tom Waits CDs seeing as Virgin/Zavvii are doing quite a few of them at a reasonable price. Anyone got any recommendations on which would be a good one to pick up first?

First gig for me was Adam Ant at the Glasgow Apollo in 1982 - good gig from what i remember, and although it gave me a taste for going to see bands, the chance didnt come up again till The Stranglers at the same venue in 1985.

This isnt the only time this kind of thing has been sold, there was a similar package being put up for sale on one of Alice Coopers last tours. Cant remember exactly what the prices were, but i think they were a something along the lines of what is being charged for the Avril package. Mind you, for ...

Stranglers tribute album

Over the years i`ve seen a few CDs knocking around which contain lots of different bands doing covers of one particular bands songs (e.g. loads of crap metal bands no-ones heard of murdering Alice Cooper songs). If an album like this were to be produced for The Stranglers (although i suspect one has...

Not a big fan of Feline then?

I like cats, but could do without my two trying to shred my hands when they go into mad half hour mode for no apparent reason.
