Re: CAPTAIN SENSIBLE INTERVIEW
I recently bought the "Women And Captains First" cd - I bought the album when it came out and very fine it is too. The last track on the CD is a previously unreleased track "Joe Meek", a wonderful little instrumental. Never heard of this before - does anyone know anything about t...

Re: CAPTAIN SENSIBLE INTERVIEW
Thanks very much for posting, I enjoyed that. Would appreciate a review of the gig if possible - it's unlikely I'll get to see this tour, and The Black Album in particular is a fabulous album.

Re: The Meteors
For me their best two albums are really early ones In Heaven & Wrecking Crew. If you like the early stuff (which I do), I'd also recommend "Teenagers From Outer Space" and "The Lost Album" CDs, which are essentially the old original line-up with early versions/demos. Great s...

Re: Killed By Death
Very sad news indeed. I'm a big Motorhead fan, and Orgasmatron is probably my favourite album, the first Motorhead studio album on which Wurzel appears. In fact, I played Orgasmatron this morning, bloody marvellous it is too. RIP Wurzel and thanks mate.

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
Jake, you talking about Europe reminded me of when I went to see them on the Night Time tour. Europe was my favourite track and it was the only one they didn't bloody play! As for Geordie, I'm not a guitarist so cannot understand how he can get so much noise for what seems the minimum amout ...

Re: Manics new album and live dates
Although I'm not the worlds most hardcore Manics fan by anyones standards and deffo NOT a fan of yank cock rock by any means I still have to say that 'Send Away The Tigers' (or whatever it was called) was their most enjoyable album to date. O.K I've never heard one of their long players ('Lifeblood...

Re: STRAIGHTEN OUT - 2009 TOUR
Just wondering if anyone might know what time SO will be onstage in Brum tomorrow night - I'm attempting to find a phone number for the venue, which is proving elusive at the moment. Paul Just phoned 'em. "8/8.30" was the reply. 9:30 ish more like it   Thanks Kath & FBJ, app...

Re: The Stranglers, Glasgow 1/11/08
What time do you reckon they'll be on, i.e. is there a club night after - it doesn't look like it, looking at the Academy website? I was at the ABC for the Suite 16 gig and they were off about 10pm to make way for a club night - which actually suited me OK as I went for a ruby murray and more drinks...

Re: Dublin
Indeed, the Dublin venue has changed - all I know is that the Ambassador is like a mini Brixton Academy, holds about 1000-1500 people. The Dublin Academy is much smaller, holds about 500-600 people, but is a decent venue, I saw Supergrass there recently and that was a top gig. Looks like ticket sale...
